A little bit about me

My name is Aliza and I’m a NASM-certified personal trainer, corrective exercise specialist, and anti-diet nutritionist based out of San Francisco. My training practice revolves around positivity and support, working to help my clients feel safe and accepted during training sessions and (for those new to fitness) helping them learn how to feel comfortable moving their bodies in new ways. I also work to make sure that my practice remains anti-racist, anti-hate, anti-diet, and anti-toxic fitness culture at all times and I ask that my clients share the same ethos.

I work with clients on building strength, improving posture and muscle imbalances, decreasing stress, and improving pain management. Progress is never measured by scale weight or body size/ability and the focus will always remain on achieving clients’ personal goals and overall feelings of wellness.

I became involved with fitness on the road to recovery from my own body dysmorphia and ED more than ten years ago and it has remained a source of rehabilitation and joy ever since. It has also helped me manage the daily ups and downs of having a chronic illness and kept me motivated to help others who may be going through similar experiences.

The fitness I engage in is centered around body and gender affirmation: all sizes, abilities and identities are welcomed. It is my belief that fitness should open doors, not close them.
